Gougane (pron: “goo- gawn) Barra is in West Cork, Ireland and the name is derived from Saint Finbarr who is reputed to have built a monastery in the island in the foreground in the 6th century. It is a beautiful place and it exudes a sense of calm and relaxation. This, of course, is a drone shot (Phantom 4).

The Ring of Kerry has some of the most beautiful countryside I have ever seen. My wife and I visited Ireland for our honeymoon, and we were lucky enough to spend two nights in Killarney. This photo was taken during a walk we took around Muckross Lake, not far from our hotel. I’m not sure which was more awesome, the view of the lake and surrounding mountains, or the fields full of wild red deer to our backs in this photo.

A week ago friends and I went on a little roadtrip to the West of Ireland. We’ve seen so many different and beautiful scenic spots that I simply have to call it the best weekend I had here in the country.
