Discover a unique water labyrinth by canoe or pedal boat near the village of Wakefield in southern Quebec!

Only 30 minutes from Ottawa, come and discover a magical place that will seem out of time: the water labyrinth of the Eco-Odyssée Nature Park. This vast labyrinth of 64 intersections spread over more than 6.4 km invites you to discover the rich fauna and flora of this region of Quebec by canoe or pedal boat.

The entire Parc Nature Éco-Odyssée team invites you to come and explore the aquatic labyrinth, as a couple, with your family or with friends, to experience a memorable moment in this ecotourism site. Fun and rejuvenating, this activity will help you discover the labyrinth's ecosystem. You'll learn, among other things, that the water level in the labyrinth is controlled thanks to the beaver dams.

Choose your boat: canoe or pedal boat, climb aboard and explore the water labyrinth surrounded by forests and fields for an incredible nature experience! The Ottawa Water Maze will be unlike any canoe trip you've ever taken!

This excursion is accessible to everyone, even those with no previous boating experience. However, it is recommended that you have a minimum of balance for canoeing in order to fully enjoy the Quebec landscapes you will discover.

In the boat of your choice, you will have to use the adventure map you will be given and follow wooden figures that will guide you through the maze. This adventure is perfect if it's your first visit or if you just want to walk around the labyrinth.

Activity requirements

The minimum age to enter the labyrinth is 3 months.

You can choose your boat.

Pedal boat: A pedal boat can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children under 1.20 metres (4 feet). A third child under 2 years old can be added. No more than 2 adults can be accommodated in a pedalo. Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Ideal for families with young children. Maximum total weight allowed in a pedal boat: 272 kilos (600 lbs).

Double canoe: The double canoe can accommodate a maximum of 2 people. A child under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Not recommended for individuals with poor balance. Maximum total weight allowed in a 2 person canoe: 181 kilos (400 lbs).

3 Person Canoe: The 3 person canoe can accommodate a maximum of 3 people. A child 14 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult. Not recommended for individuals with poor balance. Maximum total weight allowed in a 3 person canoe: 226 kilos (500 lbs).
