Location
A 40-minute drive from the centre of Turin, the Susa Valley is situated in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, located between the Graian Alps in the north and the Cottian Alps in the south. It is the longest valley in Italy - extending over 50 km from the French border to the outskirts of Turin.
Activity
A 4-hour canyoning course suited to all ages, this activity is recommended for confident swimmers. Conveniently accessed off the road, the Salami canyon in the Susa valley canyon system is a long and interesting route (1050m) renowned for its beautiful landscape and its challenging aquatic passages. Groups will have the option to opt out of the second section of the route that includes high jumps (11m) and rope-aided descents (25m).
Conditions
The Salami canyon system is an alpine water source which includes many deep pools, waterfall overhangs and fast flowing slides. Currents and water levels will vary depending on spring melts and rainfall.
Children under 14 yrs must be accompanied by an adult.
Parental permission necessary for all children under 18.
Activity not suitable for expectant mothers.
Please communicate rental sizes necessary to complete this activity with your instructor before the date of departure.
