The depths of the Mediterranean are home to aquatic species of great variety, size and colour. Although some fish can be seen with basic scuba diving equipment, if you want to see the most spectacular marine life, you'll definitely need to go down to the depths with an oxygen tank. When we talk about a PADI diving course we are referring to a diving course given by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, the most recognised in the world, so their certificates are valid in any country. The iDive Barcelona dive centre at Playa de Llevant on the Passeig Marítim Bogatell, in Barcelona, has experienced PADI instructors who are eager to teach you how to dive in a full day PADI diving course. This course consists of two parts: a theory session in which you will learn the necessary notions to dive safely (equipment operation, underwater communication...) and three dives on the beach of Llevant to put into practice everything you have learnt. - Meeting with the instructors at the dive centre.
- Theory session where you will learn everything you need to dive safely (how the equipment works, how to communicate underwater, etc).
- Transfer to the water point where you will do 3 different dives together with the PADI certified instructor where you will practice everything you learned during the theory.
- After the dives, you will receive an official PADI certification valid worldwide.
Activity requirements
Know how to swim.
A written parental authorisation is required for minors to take part in this activity.
Persons suffering from any illness or taking any medication must present a doctor's note.
Pregnant people are not advised to participate in this activity.
Special terms
The meeting time is 15 minutes before the activity starts. No late arrivals will be allowed to take part in the activity.
If a medical questionnaire is completed on arrival at the school and medical clearance is required, the dive will not take place and no refund will be given.
Please note you are not allowed to fly for up to 24 hours after your last dive.
