Activity Snapshot
Activity description
Embark on a stunning hike in Trolltunga, and stay overnight in a remote dome offering 360° panoramic views over the landscape!
This day begins with a trek to some of Norway's most iconic precipices. Your experienced guide will provide you with hiking poles and take you along the trail to the "needle" view of Trolltunga. This spot is only available during guided tours due to the at times tricky terrain.
Take in the beauty of Trolltunga without stressing about climbing back down before sunset. After your sporty hike up the mountain, your guide will lead the way off the main trail in the direction of our luxury Arctic glamping domes, where you will spend the evening and night. Witnessing the mountains of Trolltunga at sunset is such a privilege! At this time of day, the sky over the mountains is saturated with pink and orange hues, a veritable feast for the eyes!
Our 3 spacious domes are specially designed to be able to take in the views of the Norwegian peaks even when indoors. The ceiling and parts of the walls are see-through, so you will feel like you're outdoors even when lounging in your comfortable bed. Each tent hosts 6 people and is completely equipped with sleeping bags, liners, crockery, and cooking utensils. Upon arrival, you will be served a delicious dinner under iridescent pink and purple clouds. After a cozy night's sleep, you will be invited to breakfast and serenaded by the soft sounds of the surrounding nature.
An experienced guide will accompany you during the entire 28-hour period, to ensure your safety, and comfort, as well as answer any questions you may have regarding the culture and the surrounding nature.
Winter
In the Winter months (until May), the hike will be done on snowshoes and with a headlight that we will provide.
Feel free to stop by the Trolltunga Active Information Desk in Odda the day before your tour if you want any additional advice regarding how to prepare for your overnight hike.
The activity begins at 10:30 AM with a return at around 2.30 PM the next day.
