Take on the frozen waterfalls of the Canadian Rockies with an introduction to ice climbing in Banff, near Calgary!

With its approach based on safety and the fundamentals of the sport, this introduction to ice climbing in Banff is the ideal activity for those wishing to discover the discipline in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. In the vicinity of Banff, Lake Louise or Field, you will enjoy a day's introduction to ice climbing in the great outdoors of Banff National Park, under the supervision of an ACMG (Association of Canadian Mountain Guides) certified instructor who will ensure your safety while teaching you the basics of this ice sport.

Equipped with all the necessary equipment (helmet, harness, boots, crampons and ice axes), you will learn how to use crampons and ice axes, and then cover the basic techniques for climbing frozen waterfalls and ice walls. With the advantage of a small group of no more than 6 participants, this introductory day to ice climbing in Banff will enable you to assimilate the lessons quickly, with an instructor on hand throughout the experience!

This introduction to ice climbing near Calgary is open to anyone aged 14 or over who is at least sporty, and will delight adventurers looking for a thrilling physical activity in Banff!
