Ahtopol is the southernmost Bulgarian town on the Black Sea.
It is located on the southern coast of the Bulgarian Black Sea, on a rocky peninsula at the foot of the Strandzha mountain.
This seaside resort is located on a promontory in the south-eastern part of the province of Bourgas and is close to the border with European Turkey.
The beaches of Ahtopol are covered with fine sand and it is still one of the quiet places on the Bulgarian coast. You can swim here from May to October.
