Located in the lower southwest corner of British Columbia, Delta attracts a steady stream of visitors year-round. Come and experience this area nestled between the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The community takes its name from the point where the Fraser River flows into the ocean. Delta includes the communities of Ladner, Tsawwassen and North Delta. Visit Ladner. You'll get a good sense of what life was like when farming and fishing were the mainstay of life. Take a ferry from Tsawwassen to Vancouver Island. Take a day trip to explore the beautiful coastline and islands that dot the Strait of Georgia. While on deck, you'll witness the skill of the captain and crew as they navigate through a narrow stretch known as Active Pass. Air cabs operating from Delta offer extraordinary aerial views of the advancing coastline and distant mountains. Enjoy many outdoor activities in one of the mildest climates on the BC mainland. Enjoy sunny days and water recreation at Centennial Beach in Boundary Bay Regional Park. The tide goes out for a long distance, making shellfishing an enjoyable pastime. Walking south along the sandy beach at low tide, you'll reach the next town, Point Roberts, in another country.
