Learn More about Québec

Discover Québec, a French-speaking province of nearly 1.7 million square kilometres located in Eastern Canada.
It is a very lively province with a diverse and varied landscape that is full of things to discover.

Whether it's for its grandiose landscapes, its large cities or its American way of life, more and more tourists are choosing to travel to the land of the caribou.

Start with Montreal, Quebec's main city.
In Montreal, you can visit the Mont-Royal district, known for being a very lively area with many bars, restaurants and shops.
The Mont-Royal park has several shaded paths that allow you to walk in the fresh air and admire the many views of the city of Montreal.
In summer, it is also the ideal place to have a picnic on the edge of Beaver Lake, an artificial lake surrounded by a playground for children and tourist facilities such as a bar-restaurant with a terrace. And finally, you can see many curious and shy squirrels.

Old Montreal, where the Notre-Dame Basilica, Place Jacques Cartier and the Bonsecours Market are located, is also a must-see.
Not to mention the botanical garden and its twenty or so thematic gardens.

How can you go to Quebec without visiting the city of the same name, the capital of the province, which is partly a UNESCO World Heritage Site?
You can visit the Château Frontenac, the city's landmark.
But also the oldest district of North America, the Petit-Champlain with its Place Royale and its pretty pedestrian streets.

Not far from Quebec City, you will have the opportunity to contemplate the spectacular Montmorency Falls.
With a height of 83 meters, it is higher than Niagara Falls. The site is particularly impressive in all seasons and especially in winter when the waterfall can be completely frozen.

Several viewpoints allow you to contemplate it from all angles. They are accessible in different ways: by cable car, by the panoramic staircase and by crossing the suspension bridge. And for those who are looking for a bit of adrenaline, you will find a 300-metre zip line and a via ferrata on the site of the waterfall.

You should also know that Quebec is one of the best places to observe marine mammals such as whales, so it would be a shame not to take advantage of this during your trip. It is one of the most popular activities for both locals and tourists.
There are several regions to admire them, but the one where you will have the best chance of seeing whales is the North Shore and more particularly in Tadoussac, a small village located at the mouth of the Saguenay Fjord and the St. Lawrence.

Finally, in winter, you can go to "winter" parks for fun activities such as snow rafting, snowmobiling or dog sledding.
