Learn More about Hverfjall

Hverfjall is a cone shaped volcano located in north Iceland, close to the town of Myvatn. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country.

The best time to visit Hverfjall is during the summer months, when the weather is mild and the days are long. The volcano is accessible all year round, but the conditions can be very cold and windy in winter.

There are a few different ways to hike to the top of Hverfjall. The most popular route is to start from the car park at the base of the volcano and hike up the marked path to the summit. This hike takes around 1-2 hours depending on your fitness level.

If you are looking for a more challenging hike, you can start from the Myvatn Nature Baths and hike around the crater lake before ascending the volcano. This hike takes around 4-5 hours.
