Glencar Lough, locally known as Glencar Lake, is a freshwater lake in the northwest of Ireland. It covers an area of 1.15 square kilometres and lies mostly in County Leitrim with a smaller part in County Sligo.

On our spring trip to northwest Ireland, we stumbled on a waterfall feeding into a gorgeous lake. Tucked inside the natural cavern the waterfall created were lovely walls of ferns and mossy rocks. This section of ferns in particular caught my eye because of how delicate and intricate they were.
