Menorca or Minorca is one of the Balearic Islands located in the Mediterranean Sea belonging to Spain. Its name derives from its size, contrasting it with nearby Majorca. Menorca has a population of approximately 93,397. It is located 39°47' to 40°00'N, 3°52' to 4°24'E. Its highest point, called El Toro or Monte Toro, is 358 metres above sea level.

About this picture
I took this photo a few days ago, during my holidays in Minorca, a tiny island where I was born. It’s been almost five years since I left my home now. I stumbled upon this empty shell while I was scuba diving and I asked my girlfriend to hold it so I could take a photo of it. My intention was to capture a bit of the essence of my island: humanity and nature together in the middle of the sea. Poetic but simple at the same time.
