The Dochu La is a mountain pass in the snow covered Himalayas within Bhutan on the road from Thimphu to Punakha where 108 memorial chortens or stupas known as "Druk Wangyal Chortens" have been built by Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuk, the eldest Queen Mother.

This was shot at sunrise after we spend a night at Dochula Pass which at 3100m or over 10000ft elevation is one of the highest mountain roads in Asia and offers an amazing sight of the Himalaya mountain range. As the dawn breaks and the rays of sunlight broke through the clouds covers, we came across this beautiful vantage point at the edge of the road above the cloud covers and just stand in awe just at the majestic view unfolding in front of us.
