Damrak
The Damrak is an avenue and partially filled in canal at the centre of Amsterdam, running between Amsterdam Centraal in the north and Dam Square in the south. It is the main street where people arriving at the station enter the centre of Amsterdam.

Damrak
- These pretty houses are located near the central station of Amsterdam in a street we call the ‘Damrak’. They are centuries old, but somehow remain standing even though some have sagged a bit. What you see here is actually the back of the houses, where it was easy for ships to reach the storages. When passing here I always take a minute to admire these buildings.
