Raja Ampat, Indonesia is one of the most spectacular locations for diving in the world, especially during bait fish season. The reefs are already some of the most lush and pristine anywhere on the planet, but in October, every underwater scene is graced by the presence of millions of little silversides shoaling together en masse. The schools can be so thick they blot out the sun, or in this case, envelope a diver in a tornado of fins and scales.

This photo was taken atop Padar Island in Indonesia. I was fortunate enough to be invited by Tourism Indonesia to visit as a state guest to capture their country through my own interpretation of how I view their beautiful country. Obtaining this photo was not an easy feat as we had to speed boat 3 hours from land to the island, followed by a small dinghy bringing us to shore, and a hike up a dirt/rock covered track (kudos to my model for doing so with a dress!) all whilst chasing the sunset light to reach the top.

Tourists are attracted to Tenganan by its unique Bali Aga culture that still holds the original traditions, ceremonies, rules of ancient Balinese and its unique village layout/ architecture. There are strict rules as to who is allowed to live in here; only those born in the village can stay here and become full members of the community. Also a strict protocol regarding marriages among the kin groups have steered the Tenganan through the genetic perils of the intermarriage.
Every evening, the skies above the village of Petulu in central Bali fill with Little Egrets, Cattle Egrets, and Javan Pond Herons as they arrive to roost overnight. Their numbers have been estimated to total 20,000. The Balinese believe that the birds are the spirits of the survivors of a massacre in 1965. That year, the villagers in Petulu took action to rid the village of negative energy by holding a ceremonial cleansing ceremony; a week later, the herons called “Kokokan” arrived for the first time ever and have rested there ever since.
Can anyone spot the cabin on the cliff? Hell of a place to build a house! This photo is taken from a small cliffside near Ramuh Pohon treehouse. Woke up at 4am to do the 1 hour drive across Nusa Penida to catch the sun rise. This is the view of Atuh Beach from above. We keep seeing photos of a naked cliff even though there are definitely guard rails. Not sure if it’s photoshop or it’s a slightly different cliffside a few dozen meters away. If there is such a spot, we missed it. If you go and find it, let us know!

The charming waterfall is named Waimarang Waterfall. A two-meter-high water flow falls into a calm, clear pool with turquoise water. Just imagining it might have made you want to swim right here right? Not only that, the location of this waterfall is increasingly unique with the magnificent rock cliffs surrounding it. By noon, even the sun’s rays will break through the cliffs of the rock cliffs and let the waterfall reflect light that further beautifies it.
This location is the land of a thousand waterfalls, this is one of the smallest streams that I photograph. The left and right sides also flow mainstream flow is very large and has a height of about 120 meters. And you will be amazed at how small your scale is compared to the amount of water that flows around you. This waterfall is very famous and go international. You have to prove it yourself by going to Lumajang, East Java, Indonesia.
Bali is known for its vibrant and deeply saturated sunsets. While on a 1-month long motorbike trip throughout the island I witnessed many sunsets, but in Pukutatan, on the far west side of the island is where I was treated to some of the best. The reason being is that the beach is incredibly flat with beautiful fine sand that when the tide recedes it becomes a natural mirror. The best part is that this is a local area with very few accommodations. I was usually the only one on the beach.
Bali suffers from plastic pollution. You’ll find wrappers, bags, bottles and all others kinds of plastic wherever you go. From high up in the mountains (where the locals create piles of plastic and lit them on fire) to low in the sea. It’s a shame, since Bali is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Luckily there’s still more nature than plastic. Let’s keep it that way. Or better yet: let’s ban plastic from nature. This photo makes me happy. It’s my wallpaper so I can look at it everyday. It not only reminds me of a great trip, but also to be and stay kind to mother earth.
Palembang is the oldest city in Indonesia, and has a history of being the capital city of the Kingdom of Srivijaya, a powerful Malay kingdom, which influenced many areas in Southeast Asia.[5] The earliest evidence of its existence dates from the 7th century; a Chinese monk, Yijing, wrote that he visited Srivijaya in the year 671 for 6 months. The first inscription in which the name Srivijaya appears also dates from the 7th century, namely the Kedukan Bukit Inscription around Palembang in Sumatra, dated 683.[6]

Mount Merapi, Gunung Merapi (literally Fire Mountain in Indonesian and Javanese), is an active stratovolcano located on the border between Central Java and Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It is the most active volcano in Indonesia and has erupted regularly since 1548. It is located approximately 28 kilometres (17 mi) north of Yogyakarta city which has a population of 2.4 million, and thousands of people live on the flanks of the volcano, with villages as high as 1,700 metres (5,600 ft) above sea level.
I was with a friend camping in Sibayak Volcano that day. I hiked to highest summit of the volcano for the first time. I had been to the volcano for several times but I had never been the top summit. The hike to the highest summit was not particularly more heart-beating than another summit on the left side of the photo. Nonetheles, it was still a memorable experience for me. The spectacle was indeed the most fantastic so far. There are still many interesting areas/region in the volcano. I would like to explore them in the years to come.
The National Monument or popularly abbreviated to Monas or Monas Monument is a 132 meters (433 feet) memorial monument established to commemorate the resistance and struggle of the Indonesian people to seize independence from the Dutch East Indies colonial government. The construction of this monument began on 17 August 1961 under the orders of President Sukarno, and was opened to the public on 12 July 1975. The monument was crowned with a gold-plated flame symbolizing the spirit of a fiery struggle.
The origin of the name Mount Prau is also inseparable from the myth which says that inside this mountain there are abundant sources of water, so many believe this, because as you know that in the Dieng Plateau there are so many ponds and sources water springs . Another myth says that another name for Mount Prau is Mount Mayit in Indonesian, Mayit means corpse, it is said that because of the shape of Mount Prau which, if seen from afar resembles a pocong who is sleeping or lying down, no one knows the truth of the myth and story

Here are some photos of the beauty of the T-junction called Jemplang in Bromo which is the crossing towards Ranu Pani and Mount Semeru, so as to create an unforgettable momentum for myself, although sometimes just simply taking pictures to capture the moment, this moment I took when heading to Bromo on the side of the road I stopped for a moment to direct my camera to the side of this hill, get a view of a stretch of green hills, heating the same green view Bromo "Come on Vacation to Malang Regency" immediately set your schedule, Let's go visit
Gili Trawangan is one of three islands in the Gili archipelago. What makes this island unique is that it is completely surrounded by white sand beaches, and no motorized vehicles. Residences either walk or bike to get around the island. This leaves one question, where is the best place to find no one watching the sunset over Mt. Agung on Bali Island? The answer is to make your way clockwise from the main port of the island along the main road and right before your approach the resorts and hotels on the west side there is a stretch of beach where few people stop.
After 24 years, I finally made my first step in Mount Bromo. It’s an active volcano, which located in East Java, and also a part of the Tengger massif. I arrived at the first view point before the dawn and I got really starstruck by stars upon the clear sky. It was so magical (and also cold). And you know what? I caught a falling star with my own bare eyes and—again—I got bewitched by its miraculous appearance. I also made a secret wish because why not, duh. Experiencing sunrise in Mount Bromo was the best thing that I’ve ever had during my lifetime in East Java. I would want to set another goal too. Ranu Kumbolo, perhaps? Please take me there! 😆
