This shot was taken in the Sine Saloum delta in Senegal in early 2018. It represents the feeling of navigating your pirogue quietly through the mangroves – you are alone, surrounded by nothing but nature. The trees in mangrove forests are always submerged in the salty water, resulting in a unique ecosystem. There was no sound, apart from the sound of oysters opening and closing their shell. A truly unique and magical experience.
