Situated in western Tasmania it covers 450,000 hectares and is as wild as anywhere you could imagine. The rainforests are so thick that you can barely see through the first row of trees. 40% of Landmass in Tasmania is designated as national parks. We have the cleanest air in the world. 7,700,000,000 people in the world and I'm lucky enough to be one of 515,000 lucky enough to say I'm Tasmanian. One of the best things about traveling the world and seeing what I have seen is that when I come back home I have a fresh perspective of Tasmania and how lucky I really am. You can breathe here. You can think here. You can connect with the exact same thing that humans over 100,000 years ago connected with as we spread across the world - nature. The more I explore the forests and the mountains, the coastlines and the rivers - the more I discover myself. I often find myself not knowing where exactly I actually am. Funnily enough, this is usually one of the only times when I know that in that moment, I am exactly where I need to be 💚 .

Wondered we get very colourful sunset in the Southern Hemisphere without filters including Ballarat sometimes? Shout out @tasmania Taking in the spectacular dancing beams of the Aurora Australis with @Aizanlatheef_photography and friends from the quiet shores of Seven Mile Beach. When the word gets out that charged particles from solar activity are on their way, that's when when our Aurora chasing community get excited! And how could you blame them? On fire sunrise! Repost @tasmania by @media.repost: Looking out into the otherworldly sunrise glow from atop kunanyi / Mount Wellington with @rayofmelbourne. During @Hobartandbeyond's early days of exploration, the iconic Mountain underwent many name changes including Table Hill, Montagne du Plateau, Skiddaw, Mount Collins, and Table Mountain. It was renamed Mount Wellington sometime between 1822 and 1824 in honour of the Duke of Wellington. These days it is officially called kunanyi / Mount Wellington in recognition and celebration of Tassie's first inhabitants. Whatever you call it, we think she's a real stunner no matter the season or time of day. Thanks for sharing this great shot with us, Ray

The topic of the event that runs for four days is „A beautiful world“ - could there be any better title and any better reason to show the marvelous life of the emperor penguins? .
