Landmark in Manchester Central Library, United Kingdom

I thought I'd share some photos taken in Manchester from September 2018. This one is of Manchester library and it could be straight out of Rome. It's recently undergone a big restoration and clean hence why it looks so clean!! Today is May 22nd and this marks the 3 year anniversary since the Manchester Arena terrorist attack which killed 22 people and injured hundreds more. Although our hearts were broken, it was soon obvious that the terrorists had spectacularly failed! They wanted to put fear and hate into our hearts and change who we are and how we live. Instead, we all came together so show love, compassion and support to each other. From that day, people started using the bee as our symbol and as a result you will now see it everywhere across the city as a symbol of hope and pride. It is sooo heart warming. It really is an awesome city. I may not live on Manchester anymore, but I am a proud Mancunion and of where I'm from. RIP to our 22 bee's. The bee's still buzz! . . .

Landscape in Chester Roman Amphitheatre, United Kingdom

One of the last places we visited in Chester was the Roman Gardens next part of the city walls and Roman Amphitheatre. The gardens themselves are quite nice. They house a collection of Roman Columns and stonework from previous excavations found in this area. . . . ๐Ÿ“ท

Landmark in Chester Cathedral, United Kingdom

I love cathedrals and I've seen a fair few over the years, but I was presently surprised when I visited Chester Cathedral last year. There is a so much detail that goes into the floor tiles stained glass windows, artwork, and even the patterns on the ceiling would have taken an age. It's kind of crazy considering this was built hundreds of years ago with none of the tools they have today.

Archaeological site in Stonehenge, United Kingdom

As the weather has been rubbish over the past week or so and reminding me of the UK, I've been looking at some of the awesome places and sites I've seen whilst living there and completely forgot about our day trip to see Stonehenge! If you think it's just a pile of rocks in the country then you are well and truly mistaken! It has a really eerie atmosphere that you can only experience whilst you are in their company. How did they get these massive stones get here with only the simple tools they had? It boggles my mind! To learn more there is also a really good and informative museum next to the site. . . .

Body of water in Conwy Castle, United Kingdom

Itโ€™s been a while since I shared anything and I miss castles, so I thought Iโ€™d share some photos of when me and my sis in law went to Conwy Castle in Wales ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ It is such as awesome place! Not only is it huge but it is so well preserved. There is so much history here though. Edward I had his son Edward II here in around the 13th century and there has been countless sieges in the past too. The views from the very top are also amazing. We touched lucky as when we got there it was freezing, then by the time we got to the top of the castle the sun ๐ŸŒž came out and it was a lovely day ๐Ÿ‘Œ it was only around ยฃ5 to get in too. We went on a Tuesday in May 2015 and practically had the place to ourselves!

Had a beautiful day today looking around Oxford ๐Ÿ˜Š there is so much to see and look at, that you are spoilt for choice! I loved this building and pretty much all the university buildings. There's so much history everywhere you look, from famous writers who have spent time here like J.R.R Tolkien to Lewis Carroll ๐Ÿ“š another place to tick off the bucket list ๐Ÿ˜Š

Monument in Stonehenge, United Kingdom

The awesome Stonehenge stone circle! It's not just a pile of rocks like some people say. It has a really eerie feel to it, which you can sense whilst your walking around ๐Ÿ˜ฎ there's an amazing visitor centre also, to tell you more about the history. Have a good walk around and see it from all angles to really appreciate it in all it's glory ๐Ÿ˜Š

Natural landscape in National Trust Carrick-a-Rede, United Kingdom

Very tired today. Had a walk to this place. Totally worth it though! The rope bridge used in the Iron Island Game of Thrones Scenes! The Bridge it's self is called Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge. The scenery in this area is outstanding! What a beautiful country โ˜บ๏ธ From this view the bridge looks quite rickety, but it's actually quite strong. It's quite cool to see the waves ๐ŸŒŠ crashing below you. @royalcaribbeanuk

Landmark in Clifford's Tower, York, United Kingdom

I visited York on 1st December 2016 and had an amazing day! We got to see Clifford's Tower in the bright morning sun โ˜€๏ธ and as the sun was setting in the evening. I love this evening shot it seems to make it look a little more haunted! It's only around ยฃ5 to get in and this keep is all that's left of the original York Castle. โค๏ธ

Landscape in Edinburgh Castle, United Kingdom

In November 2016 on a beautiful, sunny โ˜€๏ธ day we went to Edinburgh for the day to celebrate my 34th Birthday. I loved the Royal ๐Ÿ‘‘ Mile. It was like stepping back in time! But the highlight of the day for me had to be Edinburgh Castle. I've visited many Castles, but this is one of my favourites ๐Ÿ‘ it's like a walled city within itself ๐Ÿ˜ฒThe great hall is amazing and so are Mary Queen ๐Ÿ‘ธ of Scots old apartments. Though it's best to book ahead as the queue for tickets is quite long.

This was taken on Wednesday 28th December 2016 on a beautifully sunny โ˜€๏ธ and crisp winters morning at Skipton Castle in Skipton! It is a great Castle. Natural landscape in Cockington Green Gardens, Australia

A couple of weeks back I visited Cockington Green in Canberra. I absolutely loved it! They have a wonderful international section filled with miniature well-known kandmarks and places from around the world. As traveling overseas is impossible right now, it really fuelled my wonderlust and also inspired me one day to travel to different places when we can travel again. One such place that's now on my bucket list is St. Andrews Church in Kiev, Ukraine. It's stunning blue facades just instantly drew me to it! After doing a bit of research, I've read that it is dubbed the Paris of the North. It looks like a stunning place. So, yeah it's going on my list! Where would you like to visit in the future when we can travel again? . . . #

Natural landscape in Cockington Green Gardens, Australia

I've had another awesome day in Canberra! Today I got to explore the wonderful Cockington Green, around 15 minutes drive from Canberra CBD. You start off by entering a mock Tudor mansion, where you will feel like you are in the English countryside, surrounded by pretty flowers. There's an awesome international section where you can explore the well-known landmarks from around the world, such as Machu Pechu in Peru or Petra in Jordan. If anything, it will definitely help with your wanderlust, being that we are not able to travel overseas right now! This is a must-see when in Canberra! . . .

Pagoda in Chinese Garden of Friendship, Australia

Can you guess where this photo was taken? China? Japan? Vietnam? Nope! They are probably very good guesses, but this was taken in the middle of Darling Harbour at the Chinese Garden of Friendship. By far, this has to be one of my favourite Sydney tourist attractions.ย  For a couple of hours, you can wander through this little oasis in the bustling city of Sydney and take in the sense of calm and peacefulness. The only downside is if you look in the background, you will find yourself looking at tall skyscrapersย and highrises. Not very Feng Shui! But besides all that, wonder over the beautiful bridges, marvel at the carp in the ponds, take a quiet moment in the many pavilions and enjoy the beautiful gardens, and architecturalย features the gardens have to offer, such as the awesome moon door. My favourite area is the Hall of Longevity where you will see the most amazing dragon wood carving, said to represent the friendship between Sydney and its sister city in China Guangzhou.ย  Keep a lookoutย for the beautiful lizards too who have made the gardens home, and don't nearly stand on one like I did, luckily the cute little guy ran out from under my foot. I went to apologize to him, but he looked at me like he thought I was some stupid human! He had a point :)ย  I'm currently editing some photos from my many visits to Sydney for my new blog, which will be up and running soon! . . .

Temple in Luna Park, Australia

It's been a long time since I was last in Melbourne, but looking through my old photos from when I was backpacking around Australia and came across this shot I took at Luna Park. It's an old fashioned, cute little fun park in St. Kilda, near where we were staying. It first opened in December 1912 and has stayed open ever since. It's currently temporarily closed due to the Corona Virus pandemic, but will back back open when everything calms down ๐Ÿ˜Š My husband is from Melbourne so I'd love to head down here in the future and take out little girl. I think she'll love it. . . .

Tied-arch bridge in Royal Botanic Gardens, Australia

Had a great time in Sydney this week for training for the start of my new career as a Travel Agent. Can't think of a more perfect job for me. Lake in Elizabeth Quay, Australia

We finally made it to Australia! ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ Well after an 8 year gap we arrived on Perth, WA last month and spent a few days here. Itโ€™s a lovely city ๐ŸŒƒ probably the quietest city I have ever been too ๐Ÿ˜ฑ even at the weekend on a hot sunny โ˜€๏ธ day it was quiet by U.K. standards! The CBD is lovely. This is Elizabeth Quay which is pretty much in the heart of the city and a beautiful place to walk around on a nice day (so basically everyday) There is also lots of building work going on around there as some new hotels are being built, such as the Ritz Carlton and a new Hilton Hotel. Thereโ€™s some lovely bars around here and play grounds for kids to enjoy.

Temple in Doge's Palace, Italy

I live to curl up under the covers and look at old travel photos on dull and miserable days like today. Today I've wondered upon some images from the beautiful town of Venice. If you've been here before, you'll know why I love it so much, with its beautiful buildings decorated in colourful frescoes and impressive stonework, like this one at the Doge's Palace in St. Marks Square in the centre of town. I love it here. The building's faรงade has a pink and cream patterned tiled front, while the inner courtyards are decorated like the photo. I visited on a rainy day, so it was great to escape inside from the rubbish weather. I love to curl up under the covers and look at old travel photos on dull and miserable days like today. Watercourse in Bridge of Sighs, Italy

Venice is one of the most amazing places I have ever visited. When exploring any other big cities, you will be bombarded with the sound of car horns, pollution and lots of noise! In Venice, I never really had that, as there's no cars and instead of roads, you have canals.ย This makes for a much more romantic look and one that I'm sure you will never tire of. Down every street, you will come across beautiful architecture. This is one of my favourites. The Bridge of Sighs. It was given this name because when criminals were sent to prison, they were rowed up the canal and would pass under this bridge. It was said that the convicts would sign as they went under the bridge because this was the last time they would get to view the beauty of Venice. Have you ever been lucky enough to visit the magical city of Venice? Did you get lost for hours in this wonderful city? I know I have, but that's part of the fun, isn't it? . . . ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

Underwater in Coral reef, Bermuda

I mean.... that view though! Last week we went on a day cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef with @reefcruises who are one of the best companies to see this amazing natural beauty with! We went to to Agincourt Reef and snokelled off their pontoon with one of their awesome marine biologists. Lunch was also included and as I have food allergies, this was all taken care of without me having to mention anything. To top it all off, a massive sea turtle came up and swam along next to me for like a minute - which was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! . . .
