Saarijärvi is a town and municipality of Finland. It is located in the Central Finland region. The municipality has a population of 9,406 and covers an area of 1,422.72 square kilometres of which 170.8 km² is water. The population density is 7.51 inhabitants per square kilometre. Neighbouring municipalities are Kannonkoski, Karstula, Multia, Soini, Uurainen, Ähtäri and Äänekoski. The municipality is unilingually Finnish. The neighboring municipality of Pylkönmäki was consolidated to Saarijärvi on 1 January 2009. There are all together 241 lakes in Saarijärvi. Biggest lakes are Pyhäjärvi, Summanen and Lake Saarijärvi. Saarijärvi is the home of Bonden Paavo in the poem by Johan Ludvig Runeberg.
Tornio is a city and municipality in Lapland, Finland. The city forms a cross-border twin city together with Haparanda on the Swedish side. The municipality covers an area of 1,348.83 square kilometres, of which 161.59 km² is water. The population density is 18.18 inhabitants per square kilometre, with a total population of 21,573. It borders the Swedish municipality of Haparanda.
Loviisa is a municipality and town of 14,644 inhabitants on the southern coast of Finland. It is located 90 kilometres from Helsinki and 38 kilometres from Porvoo. About 43 per cent of the population is Swedish-speaking. The municipality covers an area of 1,751.52 square kilometres of which 931.92 km² is water. The population density is 17.87 inhabitants per square kilometre.
Sodankylä is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the region of Lapland, and lies at the northern end of Highway 5 and along Highway 4. The Kitinen River flows near the center of Sodankylä. Its neighbouring municipalities are Inari, Kemijärvi, Kittilä, Pelkosenniemi, Rovaniemi, and Savukoski. The municipality has two official languages: Finnish and Northern Sami.

Sipoonkorpi National Park is a national park in Finland. It was established on March 2, 2011. It is located in the municipalities of Helsinki, Vantaa and Sipoo. The area is mostly covered by spruce forest, swamps and cultural landscape. The small Byabäcken river, home to a rich bird population, flows through Sipoonkorpi.
